Becky Barnett and her daughter’s partner Chloe Newman progressed from the FD Early Years to the BA (Hons) Integrated Working with Children and Families in 2020-2021. They have had a tough year, with several people in their household contracting Covid-19 at different times, causing them to have to isolate for many weeks. They both suffered with Covid themselves, but they were always committed to their course, and they never missed a virtual session, even when they had to isolate and care for others within the family.
Becky and Chloe supported each other through this difficult year, and both achieved 1st class honours degrees, a testament to their perseverance and motivation.
Both Becky and Chloe are now training to be primary school teachers and although they are very busy, they are supporting each other through this too.
