Many highlighted this as one of the most positive aspects of the day, alongside the workshops themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day was anchored by two powerful and thought\u2011provoking keynote speakers. Dr Carla Solvason challenged traditional assumptions surrounding the idea of the \u201cgood parent,\u201d encouraging more authentic, compassionate and non\u2011hierarchical relationships with families. Dr Emma Laurence explored the power of storytelling as a leadership tool, showing how shared narratives can help practitioners navigate complexity, remain hopeful and influence positive cultural Attendees expressed that they:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>re\u2011evaluated how they interact with parents and colleagues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>considered how personal experiences shape professional responses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>felt encouraged to become \u201ca better version of myself\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>appreciated being \u201cgiven space to be hopeful\u201d and to inspire hope in others<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Carla\u2019s keynote especially resonated on an emotional level, with many saying she \u201creally gets to the heart of the work we do\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendees consistently highlighted that both keynotes strengthened their understanding of the importance of collaboration. They reported a renewed appreciation for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>communicating effectively with parents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>valuing the voices and lived experiences of families<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cultivating empathy and understanding in professional relationships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>recognising partnership as essential to effective practice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Many described partnership working as \u201ccrucial\u201d, \u201ckey\u201d, and \u201ccentral\u201d to their future approaches during feedback about the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendees consistently reported gaining deeper understanding across the topics, particularly around:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>empathy and inclusion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>teamwork and collaborative practice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>safeguarding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>autism in girls and masking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>resources and services available through the NSPCC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Many noted that the sessions broadened their thinking and supported or extended their current professional reflections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number of attendees expressed feeling <em>inspired<\/em>, <em>energised<\/em>, and more confident in their practice following the sessions.
