{"id":264,"date":"2023-03-08T12:44:05","date_gmt":"2023-03-08T12:44:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/childrenandfamilies.on.worc.ac.uk\/?p=264"},"modified":"2023-03-08T12:44:05","modified_gmt":"2023-03-08T12:44:05","slug":"graduate-stories-ewa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/childrenandfamilies.on.worc.ac.uk\/index.php\/2023\/03\/08\/graduate-stories-ewa\/","title":{"rendered":"Graduate Stories &#8211; Ewa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Ewa\u00a0Kedzior\u00a0earned a\u00a0First Class\u00a0Honours for her excellent academic achievement whilst studying for her degree in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worcester.ac.uk\/courses\/integrated-working-with-children-families-ba-hons-top-up-degree\"><strong>BA (Hons)\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.worcester.ac.uk\/courses\/integrated-working-with-children-families-ba-hons-top-up-degree\"><strong>Integrated Working with Children and Families<\/strong><\/a>.  Here she shares her experiences:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"323\" height=\"447\" src=\"https:\/\/childrenandfamilies.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Picture6.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-265\" srcset=\"https:\/\/childrenandfamilies.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Picture6.jpg 323w, https:\/\/childrenandfamilies.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Picture6-217x300.jpg 217w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 323px) 100vw, 323px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ewa&nbsp;said: \u201cI am very proud of myself. The First Class came as a&nbsp;shock.&nbsp;I only expected a pass.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI worked full time in a nursery whilst studying for&nbsp;the&nbsp;degree, as well as volunteering with my local Beavers club,\u201d&nbsp;Ewa&nbsp;added. \u201cIt was hard&nbsp;especially&nbsp;during lockdown&nbsp;when nurseries stayed open.&nbsp;I&nbsp;studied late at night, or&nbsp;on&nbsp;what was left of my&nbsp;weekends.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI knew&nbsp;studying&nbsp;full time&nbsp;while having a young family and working full time would be a challenge&nbsp;but I&#8217;ve&nbsp;never&nbsp;imagined&nbsp;I would be able&nbsp;to achieve a First Class honours. I&nbsp;owe it to the great support of my husband, University friends and tutors.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ewa&nbsp;is currently working in a local school, but she has aspirations to become an Early Years teacher one day, \u201cbut&nbsp;for&nbsp;now I keep my options open to see where&nbsp;this&nbsp;qualification&nbsp;will take me,\u201d she said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although&nbsp;Ewa, who came to the UK from Poland in 2006,&nbsp;has very little by way of free time, she finds time in her busy schedule to volunteer&nbsp;on&nbsp;Saturdays&nbsp;at Worcester\u2019s Polish Saturday&nbsp;School.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve supported Polish Saturday since 2008,\u201d&nbsp;she&nbsp;said. \u201cWe teach Polish language,&nbsp;Polish&nbsp;history and&nbsp;culture&nbsp;to&nbsp;children&nbsp;who&nbsp;are growing up in England.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ewa\u00a0Kedzior\u00a0earned a\u00a0First Class\u00a0Honours for her excellent academic achievement whilst studying for her degree in BA (Hons)\u00a0Integrated Working with Children and Families.
