{"id":260,"date":"2023-03-08T12:40:41","date_gmt":"2023-03-08T12:40:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/childrenandfamilies.on.worc.ac.uk\/?p=260"},"modified":"2023-03-08T12:47:01","modified_gmt":"2023-03-08T12:47:01","slug":"graduate-stories-aishah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/childrenandfamilies.on.worc.ac.uk\/index.php\/2023\/03\/08\/graduate-stories-aishah\/","title":{"rendered":"Graduate Stories &#8211; Aishah"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Aishah Bibi achieved a First-Class Honours in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worcester.ac.uk\/courses\/integrated-working-with-children-families-ba-hons-top-up-degree\">BA(Hons) Integrated Working with Children and Families.<\/a><\/strong>  Here is her story:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI was really elated to learn that I had achieved a First,\u201d said Aishah. \u201cHard work does pay off! I\u2019m proud of myself.\u201d&nbsp;Aishah is now training to become a teacher. Her plan, once she qualifies, is to become a primary school teacher with a specialism in early years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe course related to my interest area of working with children and fit in perfectly with my HND due to it being a top-up course,\u201d she said. \u201cAs well as this, I had visited numerous open days for different universities but the University of Worcester stood out for me. I loved how there was flexibility in the course and how it was structured. Also, during the Open Day I had met some of the tutors who really made me feel at ease. I knew on the drive back home that it would be my first choice of university.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During her time at the University, Aishah was elected as a Student Rep, which meant representing her fellow students\u2019 views and putting them forward. She was also put forward to attend the BECERA conference, where she and a group of students and her tutor presented a poster symposium on Living in Poverty and the Impact on Home Learning. Aishah described it as \u201can amazing experience\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"203\" height=\"298\" src=\"https:\/\/childrenandfamilies.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Picture5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-261\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aishah Bibi achieved a First-Class Honours in BA(Hons) Integrated Working with Children and Families.
